Jonathan H. Ferziger is managing editor of The Circuit and based in Tel Aviv. Previously, he was chief political reporter for Bloomberg News on Israeli and Palestinian affairs. As a non-resident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, his writing appeared in Foreign Policy, The Telegraph and The National. Earlier he worked for United Press International, covering the 1991 Gulf War in Saudi Arabia, moving to Israel as Jerusalem Bureau Chief and serving as Asia Regional Editor in Hong Kong. Ferziger graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton and received a master’s degree from the Columbia University School of Journalism. He was awarded a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University in 1995 and won the 2017 Robert St. John Prize in Objective Middle East Reporting from Israel’s Ben Gurion University.
